Hannover Messe 2017
We have a live blog page on Visaya Solutions, follow us there!
Yeah, Hannover Messe 2017! Spring break for automation pros! Okay, not really, especially since some of y’all don’t even do spring break. Anyway, you already know we’ll pack our bags and go cover the entire fair, from the 24th to the 28th of April.
We’ve checked out all the companies who said they’ll come play. We hope to cover most of them to keep you updated on new trends and pending launches and to bring you news about process automation in general. Furthermore, to help you optimize your time during the fair, we got the idea to create a list of 10 companies you should visit at Hannover Messe 2017.
In these first 10 process automation companies, you’ll find field instrumentation, solutions, and control systems aplenty. Of course, you know we’ll talk about the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0, too. Can’t shut us up on those!
So are you ready for Hannover Messe 2017? If not, then read on and you will be! Stay tuned to Visaya; we’ll keep the info flowing from now through the fair.
See you there! #VisayaHM17 #HM17
ABB
This company always brings a lot of solutions for different segments. You can read our review of the CoriolisMaster FCB450 to get up to speed on one of ABB’s hottest devices. At the fair, you should also see ABB’s other products, like the company’s latest solutions to device management through fieldbuses and wireless.
The ABB reps also plan to cover the topic of industrial energy efficiency. As always, we must improve performance and save money in our plants, and you can have a beer or coffee with some of the people ready to make that happen.
You can find ABB in hall 11, stands A35 and D44.
Burket Fluid Control System
We haven’t covered this company yet on Visaya, but we’ll review its products soon. Furthermore, we’ll stop by the Burket stand and chat with the reps. They should have a bunch of instrumentation products, like flow meters, level transmitters, and pressure devices.
I suggest checking out the FLOWave, an interesting meter that follows high hygiene standards to measure low and non-conductive liquids, with no parts inside the tube. The FLOWave can bring a lot of benefits to your application.
Burket will have stand G16 in hall 9.
Emerson Automation Solutions
We go on so much about Emerson, you’d think we worked for them. (Note: We don’t.) That’s because Emerson consistently puts out outstanding solutions for all kinds of applications. We recently published an article about Emerson’s IIoT presentation at its annual user exchange, if you want to take a look.
At Hannover Messe 2017, Emerson will have its huge wireless portfolio, along with IIoT solutions based on operational performance, such as process production and energy management.
I vouch for the Micro Motion 5700 and the Rosemount 2140 as good products to check out at Emerson’s stand, as I’m sure the reps will bring these two to the fair. They also have system solutions and plant asset management, so you’ll spend some time going through everything!
You can find Emerson Automation Solutions in hall 15, stand G43 and hall 11, stand D44.
Endress+Hauser
I know you know Endress+Hauser, right? This company provides excellent instrumentation solutions, and it launched some really cool news this year and last year, so check that out too.
If nothing else, you should see the flow meter portfolio. You can check out the new Proline 300/500, a product with nice features like Heartbeat technology and wireless communication. And the FMR10/FMR20 level transmitters have cool Bluetooth communication and nice setups for fairly low costs. I’ll bet you’ll see an IIoT presentation from this company, but I’m just guessing.
Head to hall 11, stands C43, C44, and E55 to find Endress+Hauser.
IFM
Another strong company in field instrumentation and automation components, you’ve surely heard about it. We haven’t reviewed any products from IFM but we hope to do so soon.
We like the SM series magnetic inductive flow meter, a compact, simple, and efficient device. While you’re there, you can ask the reps for a shorter name next time as well. Just kidding. They should have plenty of products for level and pressure measurement too. Ask about their thoughts on IO-Link, as they seem eager to talk about it.
You can find IFM in hall 9, stands D06 and D36.
JUMO
This company has a huge range of instrumentation solutions, with devices for temperature, pressure, level, flow, liquid analysis, and more. It also has solutions to complement the instrumentation portfolio, like control and recording.
JUMO’s Hannover Messe 2017 message this year — “Smart sensors for the factories of tomorrow and future-oriented systems” — sounds good! The reps will bring new temperature and sensor devices based on the company’s IO-Link portfolio, so you can check those out too.
JUMO has stand C28 in hall 11.
Mettler-Toledo
This company produces analysis products like density meters, thermal analyses, refractometers, and others. We’d like to point out the pH package, which has a benchtop pH meter, portable pH meter, and software.
We have yet to cover analysis on Visaya, but we’ll get there eventually. In the meantime, we’ll talk to the reps and check out the products at Hannover Messe to keep you updated.
You can find Mettler-Toledo in hall 8, stand D20.
Pepperl+Fuchs
Yeah, you know Pepperl+Fuchs. It offers a lot of products for connectivity and fieldwork, and now it owns the brand ECOM, bringing mobility to the portfolio.
You should have a peek at the new ECOM products. I’ll bet you’ll see the new portfolio and how the products can support your process. You’ll also see industrial sensors and other instrumentation to provide connectivity in your plant.
Pepperl+Fuchs will be in hall 9 at stands D06, D68, and D76.
SICK
Yep, another cool company! This one already has presentations for Hannover Messe’s key topics nailed down, so you should keep an eye on it.
The first topic is networking and seamless integration. The second is data sovereignty and security. Last but not least, they’ll address applications, where to implement these new solutions in your process. Pretty slick, SICK!
You can find SICK in hall 9, stand F18 and hall P11, stand C20.
Yokogawa
Finally (only because they come last in the alphabet, we promise), we have our Japanese friends! You already know the company and its huge portfolio covering flow, temperature, pressure, device management, and control systems.
When you visit the Yokogawa crew, and check out the ROTAMASS Total Insight that we reviewed here at Visaya. You should take a glance at the huge wireless portfolio and control system structures too.
Yokogawa has stand D68 in hall 9 and D44 in hall 11.
Conclusion
And there you have it! The must-see companies at Hannover Messe and the products and presentations to check out. If you plan to go to this fair, then you should at least stop by the stands listed here.
If you are from one of these companies or if you know other cool products, please leave a comment below and let’s talk!
